Computer-assisted translation

If you need to translate larger amounts of text with specific and repeated terminology, you can use computer-aided translation. In addition to being consistent in terms of terminology, the text will be cheaper and take less time to translate.

With computer-aided translation, also called CAT, the translator translates text using software. We mainly use Trados, SDLX, Transit, Wordfast or Passolo which, use translation memory technology to help speed up and simplify the work of the translator.

In what situations do you recommend CAT instead of traditional translation?

It is appropriate to use CAT tools when you need to translate, for example, several guarantee certificates where most of the text is the same or another text containing specific repeating terminology.
